The homes
From railroad town to the Spanish Springs valley
Sparks began in the early 1900s as a railroad town east of Reno, and its oldest homes sit near Victorian Square and the original downtown grid. Ranch houses from the 1950s to the 1970s spread from there, and the big growth came in the 1990s and 2000s as neighborhoods such as Wingfield Springs, D'Andrea and Spanish Springs filled the valleys to the north and east, with Kiley Ranch and other newer areas following. So a Sparks kitchen may be a compact older room or a 2000s builder plan with an open great room.

We design, we do not build, so distance changes very little. Homeowners in Sparks get the same layouts, selections and 3D renderings as our Las Vegas clients, delivered as files your local contractor can price.

Before the call we send a 5-minute iPhone LiDAR guide (Polycam or a free scanner app), you scan your space, and we review the scan live on the call while we talk about how you want the room to feel, your style and your budget. You leave with an accurate scan of your space and a written direction, whatever you decide, and the fee is credited toward your design project.
Step 2
Measuring, made simple
We send you a step-by-step measuring guide and photo checklist, or we coordinate a local measurer to record the room for you. Either way, we design from real dimensions.
Step 3
3D concepts on the normal timeline
You see the layout, materials and lighting in 3D renderings on the same timeline as our Las Vegas clients, and we refine them together over video until the room feels right.
Step 4
Plans your local contractor can price
You receive plans, elevations, selections and a material list. Your own licensed contractor prices and builds it. We stay available to answer their questions during construction.

What we plan for
Cold winters and shoulder seasons
Sparks shares Reno's high-desert climate: snow and freezing nights in winter, hot dry summers, and cool evenings most of the year. Warm floors, radiant heat in baths, good insulation and mudroom-style storage near the garage door make daily life easier. We plan for these in the layout, and your contractor handles the mechanical work.
Wind and dust in the north valleys
The Spanish Springs and north Sparks neighborhoods are known for afternoon wind. That makes tight-closing windows, a sealed entry sequence and easy-to-clean surfaces worth planning around. Inside, we keep sightlines open to the views while positioning tall storage and pantry walls on the windward side.
Making a 2000s builder plan personal
In newer Sparks neighborhoods, the layout often works and the finishes feel standard. Design here usually centers on a better island, real storage, lighting and materials rather than moving walls. Most communities have associations with rules for exterior changes, so check with your HOA before planning anything visible from outside.

Do you build or remodel in Sparks?
No. We are a design studio and do not perform construction. We create the layout, selections, lighting plan and 3D renderings, and your own licensed contractor prices and builds it. You can check any contractor's license with the Nevada State Contractors Board at nscb.nv.gov.
How do we work together from Sparks?
We start with a 90-minute video consultation, the same $450 as in Las Vegas. Where a phone scan is not practical, we send a measuring guide or coordinate a local measurer. You share photos, we design the layout and selections, show the room in 3D within our normal timeline and deliver plans and a material list your local contractor can price.
Who prices the work?
Your contractor. Our package includes plans, elevations, selections and a material list, so a Sparks contractor can bid it accurately. If you do not have one yet, we suggest gathering two or three bids and verifying each license with the Nevada State Contractors Board.
Sparks is about 430 miles north of our Las Vegas studio, so we work with Sparks homeowners entirely by video and shared files. Video consultations by appointment. If you are ever in Las Vegas, the studio at 3111 South Valley View Boulevard, Unit J-101 is open to you.
